Mazearena multiplayer match settings overview
There are three main settings for each match.
Customize your matches and strategize to climb the ranks. Below are explained the adjustable settings for each multiplayer match.
1. Match wager type
When creating a match, players must choose between three wager types:
They determine the winning point reward, and point deduction upon loss.
Safe:
Safe mode causes no points lost on defeat but the winner gains only two. Great for secure but slow rising.
Brave:
Brave mode offers balanced reward/risk. Losers lose half of their points, and winners doubles their point amount.
Fearless:
Fearless mode is about big gains and big risks, only the confident or desperate dare enter. Loser loses all points, while winner gets his points tripled.
Gamble:
Gamble mode has dynamical wins and losses. In this mode players set their own stake, which will be the reward and loss point amount.
2. Map set
Both players must complete the same set of maps to win. Navigation speed and spatial awareness are key.
Select the map difficulty level for the match:
- 10 different maps: Contains 10 moderately easy maps.
- One hard map: One hard map.
3. Collision penalty
Chosen collision penalty option controls what happens when a player touches maze walls or boundaries:
- Reposition to checkpoint: Colliding repositions user to the latest checkpoint.
- Instant lose: Immediate loss. The opponent is awarded the win and gains points.
Instant lose mode tends to make the matches longer.
